Jill Martin wins Dissertation in Teaching Award
Jill Voorhies Martin, who graduated in May 2010 with a Ph.D. in Education, Curriculum & Social Foundations option, has been named winner of the John Laska Distinguished Dissertation in Teaching Award given annually by the American Association for Curriculum and Teaching.
The title of her dissertation is “Voices of Border Crossing: Life Histories of Women Elementary Teachers Negotiating Identity and Self.” Martin will officially receive the award at the AATC annual meeting in Denver on October 12. |
