Physical EducationThe mission of the OSU Physical Education Teacher Education program is to prepare future professional physical education teachers with theoretically and practically challenging education experiences, leading to licensure in Physical Education/ Health grades K-12. Students will learn how to teach movement skills, convey the benefits physical activity, and model good lifetime choices for wellness to children in the schools. Many physical education professionals also combine athletic coaching with their teaching responsibilities. As the relationship between good fitness and good health is better understood, the need for professionals in this field will continue. |
