CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION (Undergraduate Program) The undergraduate program in Career and Technical Education (CTED) is designed to prepare and advance the teaching force for Oklahoma’s Career and Technology system. Students entering the CareerTech teaching force directly from industry can complete the “Basic 15” hours to obtain a level 1 provisional certificate. Other choices include additional hours to obtain a provisional certificate level 2 and completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Career and Technical Education. Coursework in the CTED undergraduate program is delivered via a variety of formats, including face-to-face classroom, 2-way video broadcast throughout the State, online, weekends, and short-term blocks. All classes meet in late afternoons and evenings to accommodate the schedules of practicing teachers. For information, please contact Dr. Mary Jo Self at (405) 744-9191 or
