Baghurst Selected as Research Fellow for SHAPE America
Tim Baghurst, an associate professor in health and human performance in the Oklahoma State University College of Education, has been selected as a 2016 Research Fellow of SHAPE (Society of Health and Physical Educators) America.
SHAPE Research Fellows are selected based significant and sustained contributions (research, creative or scholarly activity) and related service in the areas of interest to SHAPE America, which was formerly known as the American Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
Baghurst joined the OSU faculty in 2012 and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville. His research interests include modeling health and professional dispositions within health professions, male body image and muscle dysmorphia, skills and fitness testing in physical education and coaching, and ethics in sports. Baghurst coordinates the physical education program and also developed the coaching science minor at Oklahoma State.
Baghurst will be formally recognized in April during SHAPE America’s National Convention and Exposition in Minneapolis.
