Counseling Scholarships

Undergraduate:

Clayton A. Morgan Excellence Endowed Scholarship -- Undergraduate or graduate - Must be enrolled as a full time student in the COE at OSU. Must be dedicated to academic excellence. Must have great faith in the human potential and must be excited about that faith being expressed in helpful, constructive ways. Must desire to be an instrument in helping people come alive in maximizing the potential. First preference shall be given to a student with a career goal of teaching or counseling children or adults with special needs. Second preference shall be given to a student with a career goal of teaching or counseling children or adults in general.

Graduate:

Clayton A. Morgan Excellence Endowed Scholarship -- Undergraduate or graduate- Must be enrolled as a full time student in the College of Education at OSU. Must be dedicated to academic excellence. Must have great faith in the human potential and must be excited about that faith being expressed in helpful, constructive ways. Must desire to be an instrument in helping people come alive in maximizing their potential. First preference shall be given to a student with a career goal of teaching or counseling children or adults with special needs. Second preference shall be given to a student with a career goal of teaching or counseling children or adults in general.

Lana B. Stone Diversity Endowed Scholarship -- Graduate- Must be enrolled as a graduate in the Counseling Psychology program in the College of Education at OSU. Must be a graduate student who has maintained a minimum 3.5 GPA. Must have demonstrated a professional or personal commitment to encourage diversity in all settings. This demonstration may include but is not limited to activities such as active participation in any of the following: Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) or Sexual Orientation Diversity Association (SODA) and/or writing or research in gay, lesbian, and/or transgender issues.).

Myron C. Ledbetter Diversity Endowed Scholarship -- Graduate-  Must be enrolled as a graduate in the Counseling Psychology Department in the College of Education at OSU. Must be a graduate student who has maintained a minimum 3.5 GPA. Must have demonstrated a professional or personal commitment to encourage diversity in all settings. This demonstration may include but is not limited to activities such as active participation in any of the following: Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) or Sexual Orientation Diversity Association (SODA) and/or writing or research in gay, lesbian, and/or transgender issues, especially those relating to local and state statutes within Oklahoma, and/or expressed religious viewpoints.).
