Design Thinking Summer Academy

Student in the Mixed Reality Lab

The Department of Design and Merchandising at Oklahoma State University will offer a Design Thinking Summer Academy in the Mixed Reality Lab which is equipped with state-of-the-art Virtual Reality and 3D printing equipment. The Summer Academy will offer a 5-day Design Thinking workshop for school students entering grades 8 through 12 in the next academic year. Students will be introduced to sustainable spatial design through a series of culturally and regionally responsive project-based learning experiences using generative AI platforms. The Design Thinking Summer Academy aims to provide students with the requisite cognitive skills to enter multidisciplinary careers.
