Biography

Adam Crawley is an Assistant Professor in Literacy Education in the School of Teaching, Learning, and Educational Sciences within the College of Education, Health, and Aviation at Oklahoma State University. His research interests include culturally diverse literature for children and young adults, social justice, censorship, and LGBTQ issues in education. His experiences prior to OSU include being an elementary public school teacher for twelve years, certified teacher support specialist for pre- and in-service teachers, and assistant for state level book award programs and conferences. At the national level, Dr. Crawley is a teacher consultant with the National Writing Project and actively involved in the National Council for Teachers of English (NCTE), Literacy Research Association (LRA), and American Educational Research Association (AERA).
