Biography

Starla Halcomb is a clinical assistant professor for workforce and adult education in the school of teaching and curriculum leadership working with both graduate and undergraduate students. Starla comes to the college of education from her most recent position as an Educational Specialist with the OSU Institute for Teaching and Learning Excellence where she served the US Army Defense Ammunition Center contract since 2006. Highlights from her work with the DAC include instructor training, curriculum development and redesign, accreditation alignment, mentoring program development and implementation, and Army-wide train-the-trainer curriculum development and delivery. Starla has also worked as a middle school principal, a high school career tech teacher, and as an administrative intern in a career tech center. She earned her doctorate of philosophy in Education from Oklahoma State University in 2007.
