Learning and Motivation Undergraduate Minor

Minor Description: 

The Undergraduate Minor in Learning and Motivation seeks to provide students with foundational knowledge of human learning and motivation to better prepare them for successful careers including, but not limited to, education, business, communications, economics, health promotion, hotel and restaurant administration, human services, journalism, natural resource management, political science, and theatre.

  • 18 hours
  • Must have a grade of “C” or better in all courses, with an overall GPA of at least 3.0

Required:

EPSY 4223 Psychological Foundations of Learning and Instruction (3 credit hrs.)
EPSY 3533 Motivating Learners (3 credit hrs.)

Choose one of the following (all 3 credit hrs):

EPSY 3113 Childhood Development
EPSY 3213 Adolescent Development
EPSY 3413 Child and Adolescent Development

Choose 9 hours from the following:

EPSY 3063 Creative Processes and Problem Solving (3 credit hrs.)
SPED 3202 Education of Exceptional Leaners (2 credit hrs.)
EPSY 4063 Exploring the Creative Process (3 credit hrs.)
CPSY 4443 Cultural Diversity in Professional Life (3 credit hrs.)
EPSY 4533 Competency Motivation (3 credit hrs.)
EPSY 4743 Learning, Motivation, and Social Justice (3 credit-hours)*
