HEP Pre-Internship Seminar Application

Health promotion students take the Pre-Internship Seminar (HLTH 4902) to help prepare them for the internship required to complete the Health Education and Promotion program and to seek a career in their chosen field following graduation. During the class, assistance is provided in preparing a resume and cover letter. Students also receive help in locating internships. Rising seniors must complete this application to request enrollment in HLTH 4902. Students must have a 2.75 retention GPA, a 2.75 major GPA, and a 2.75 College/Departmental GPA to take the course.
The following documents must be submitted in PDF form to complete the application:
1. Current unofficial transcript (from Banner)
2. Current graduation audit (from Academic Advisor)
Once your application is received, the Program Area Coordinator (Dr. Bridget Miller) will inform you (via email) if more information is needed, if your application has been approved, or if your application has been denied.
Students who intend to enroll in the Pre-Internship Seminar (HLTH 4902) in the Spring must submit the application by the last day of Fall classes.
Students who intend to enroll in the Pre-Internship Seminar (HLTH 4902) in the Fall must submit the application by the last day of Spring classes.
*Applications submitted after the posted deadlines must be accompanied by written justification for special review
