COE Students Receive OSU Honors College Awards

College of Education students Kylie B. Butler and Morgan T. Smith were among those recognized by Oklahoma State University’s Honors College on December 11 at Old Central Assembly Hall.

Butler was awarded an Honors College Degree, which required 39 honor credit hours, including completion of the General Honors Award or College Honors Award with a 3.5 grade point average. Butler graduated last weekend with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.

Smith received the Departmental Honors Award, which required 12 upper-division honors credit hours in a major or related field, as well as an honors thesis and a 3.5 grade point average. Butler graduated last weekend with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.

Dr. Suzii Parsons, associate professor and the Jacques Munroe Endowed Professor of Reading and Literacy in the College of Education, supervised Honors Thesis projects for Butler and Smith. A total of 23 students from across the university received Honors College awards.
