Spring Nominations Invited for Outstanding Mentor Educator Award

In a continuing effort to recognize and reward excellence in the area of mentoring candidates in clinical practice, the OSU College of Education invites nominations for the Oklahoma State University Outstanding Mentor Educator Award for the spring 2016 semester.
OSU clinical practice (student teaching) interns, faculty, advisors/supervisors, and school administrators are invited to submit nominations for this award on or before April 8, 2016.
Nominees must be employed full-time by an Oklahoma school system and mentoring an OSU clinical practice intern during the current semester (spring 2016). In addition, candidates should have demonstrated exemplary ability and effort in the mentoring of candidates.
One outstanding mentor educator will be selected for each of the following categories:
1. Elementary/Early Childhood Education
2. Secondary Education
3. Other/PK-12 (i.e. math specialist, principal, library-media specialist, reading specialist, school counselor, school psychologist, special education, speech/language pathology)

The initial group of award recipients was selected from nominations during the fall semester, and all three teachers were honored at their respective school sites.
