Education Advocate Rick Cobb to Speak October 13

Education advocate and Mid-Del Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Rick Cobb will speak at Oklahoma State University on Thursday, October 13, at 12:30 p.m. in the Student Union French Lounge. The event is open to College of Education faculty, staff and students as well as the general public. The talk, “Obscenities and Vitriol with Dr. Rick Cobb”, centers on the challenges currently faced by public education in Oklahoma.

A life-long Oklahoman now is in his 24th year as an educator, Cobb has been an English teacher, volleyball coach, principal and assistant superintendent throughout the state prior to joining Mid-Del as superintendent in 2015. He has earned degrees from the University of Oklahoma and Southwestern Oklahoma State University. In addition, Dr. Cobb is also an adjunct professor for Southern Nazarene University and a public education advocacy blogger.
