Alumna Appointed Superintendent of Broken Arrow Schools

Oklahoma State University College of Education alumna Janet Dunlop was recently named the new superintendent for Broken Arrow Public Schools in Broken Arrow, Okla.
Dunlop earned a Master of Science in Teaching, Learning and Leadership in 2002 and a Ph.D. in Education in 2007 from the OSU College of Education. In addition, she completed a bachelor’s degree in English at OSU in 1989.
Dunlop has more than 25 years of experience as a teacher, academic principal, college professor and central office administrator. Before taking over as superintendent, Dunlop was deputy superintendent of accountability and assessment at the Oklahoma State Department of Education. Prior to that she was Broken Arrow’s associate superintendent of instruction.
