Tsotsoros Wins 3MT Competition

Jessica Tsotsoros a Ph.D. student in Education Technology, placed first in the College of Education’s recent preliminary contest of the Oklahoma State University 3MT® Competition. Tsotsors gave a three-minute presentation “Multitasking: Students Escaping out the ‘Backdoor’ During Lecture” and was selected the winner by a panel of judges. She will represent the College of Education in the university finals on Thursday, March 9, 2017.
By placing first in the college event, Tsotsoros earned a $300 prize. Tsotsoros’ adviser is Dr. Penny Thompson.
Indrit Vucaj, a Ph.D. student in Workforce and Adult Education, placed second to win $200 with his presentation “A Case Study Exploring Components of the European Skill Formation System in Albanian Education Reforms.” Dr. Qiuying Wang serves as Vucaj’s adviser.
In addition, Milad Mohebali, a master’s student in Higher Education and Student Affairs placed third with his presentation, “Transformation of Faculty Members in Engaged Research Partnerships.” Mohebali was also voted the People’s Choice Award winner, bringing his total winnings to $400. Mohebali’s adviser is Dr. Tami Moore.
