Ying Xiu, who is pursuing her Ph.D . in Educational Technology, was selected to participate in the Association for Educational Communications & Technology (AECT) Research and Theory Division’s 2017 Early Career Symposium.
The symposium engages participants in career mentoring and networking. The focus of this year’s symposium is Cyberlearning and Future Learning Technologies.
Xiu was selected after a competitive application process and will attend several meetings before and during the AECT symposium.
Xiu will attend the symposium over a course of multiple days in October and November, where participants will be presented topics and have the opportunity to work with their mentors and engage in discussions with mentees.
The symposium strives to mentor doctoral students into the professional network as partners in ideation and knowledge curation and provides guidance to early-career faculty and doctoral students about their research agendas.
