Kappa Kappa Iota Education Society to Host Diversity Workshop on April 11

Kappa Kappa Iota Education Society will host a diversity training workshop on Wednesday, April 11 with Jason Brown, deputy superintendent of Norman Public School. Brown will speak to cultural competence of educators by reviewing the five areas of cultural competence: cultural awareness, cultural knowledge, cultural skill, cultural encounter and cultural desire. The session is designed to motivate professionals and organizations to broaden their cultural awareness, embrace diversity and develop a heightened respect for people of all cultural groups.
