Memberships and Accreditations
The Aviation and Space Program in the College of Education at Oklahoma State University is proud to be members of and/or accredited by the following organizations.
Higher Learning Commission, a Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools
All of the Oklahoma State University degree programs and certificates offered through the Aviation and Space Program are accredited through the Higher Learning Commission, a Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
In addition, all flight degree programs and certificates operate under the Federal Aviation Administation (FAA) are certificated under 14CFR Part 141 of the Federal Regulations. OSU was one of the first universities in Oklahoma with a program receiving this designation.
Aviation Accreditation Board International (AABI)
The Aviation Management and Professional Pilot options are accredited by Aviation Accreditation Board International. AABI is a specialized aviation accreditation that enhances other accreditations and is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). AABI is a system for recognizing educational institution programs that achieve and maintain a level of performance, integrity, and quality that entitles them to the confidence of the educational community, the industry, and the public they serve. AABI accreditation exceeds federal mandates for collegiate aviation programs. The OSU Aviation and Space Program is an Educator Member of AABI.
University Aviation Association (UAA)
The OSU Aviation and Space Program is a member of the University Aviation Association (UAA). The UAA is the voice of collegiate aviation education to its members, the industry, government, and the general public. Through the collective expertise of its members, this nonprofit organization plays a pivotal role in the advancement of degree-granting aviation programs that represent all segments of the aviation industry.
