Dean Carroll Elected to AACTE Board

Oklahoma State University College of Education Dean Pamela “Sissi” Carroll recently has been elected to the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) Board of Directors. Carroll’s appointment is for a three-year at-large seat on the board for 2015-2018.
AACTE is a national alliance of educator preparation programs that includes more than 800 institutions, representing public and private colleges and universities in every state, the District of Columbia, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Guam.
Carroll came to OSU in 2012 and is now in her third year as dean of the College of Education. She also serves as the Director of Professional Education and is the Stella V. Andersen Endowed Professor of Education in the School of Teaching and Curriculum Leadership. Carroll specializes in teacher education and in adolescent and young adult literature.
