Dr. Robert Davis Appointed Interim Dean

Longtime administrator Dr. C. Robert Davis has been appointed the College of Education’s Interim Dean.
Davis, a member of the OSU faculty since 1978, has been serving as Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies and Assessment. He has served the College of Education in many administrative capacities, including a previous 18-month stint as interim dean and as academic area program coordinator and coordinator of the college’s activities in the University Center at Tulsa (now OSU-Tulsa) as director of external teaching centers. Davis received the Teacher of the Year Award from the College of Education in 1982, was named the Outstanding Faculty Associate at OSU in 2000 and the OSU Faculty Associate of the Year in 2002.

In addition to Davis’ appointment, Dr. John Romans is now the Interim Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Administrative Support. Dr. Juliana Utley moves into the role of Interim Associate Dean for Research, Engagement and Graduate Studies and Dr. Jennifer Sanders steps in as Interim Head of the School of Teaching and Curriculum Leadership. Dr. Jesse Mendez continues to serve as Head of the School of Education Studies and Dr. Aric Warren leads the School of Applied Health and Educational Psychology as its School Head.
