Sanatullova-Allison to Serve as College Honors Program Director

Dr. Elvira Sanatullova-Allison will serve as the College of Education’s Honors Program Director beginning with the 2015-16 school year. Sanatullova-Allison is an associate professor of foreign language/English language learner education in the School of Teaching and Curriculum Leadership.
“I strongly believe in fostering a culture of student scholarship and creative activity,” Sanatullova-Allison said. “I am excited about this new role and look forward to working with students and faculty to advance the mission and the vision of the Honors Program within the College of Education and the University at large.”
Sanatullova-Allison holds a Ph.D. (1999) in Education – Administration, Curriculum, and Instruction and an M.A. (1994) in Modern Languages and Literatures from the University of Nebraska and a B.A. (1990) in French/German and Foreign Language Education from the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages (Uzbekistan) and the Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University (Russia). She also studied in the Faculté des Lettres et des Langues at the Université de Poitiers and the École de Langue et de Civilisation Françaises at the Alliance Française de Rouen in France.
Sanatullova-Allison’s and teaching interests lie in the areas of language acquisition and literacy; education of linguistically and culturally diverse learners; multicultural, international, and comparative education; and gender diversity in education.
