Hugh C. Crethar, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and Jacques Flannery Community Counseling Endowed Professor in the School of Applied Health & Educational Psychology at Oklahoma State University where serves as Program Coordinator of the CACREP Accredited counseling program. He has served in numerous positions within the American Counseling Association including serving as the 2007-2008 President of Counselors for Social Justice and the 2013-2014 President of the Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues in Counseling and the Governing Council of ACA. His professional interests include the promotion of multicultural competence, excellence in counselor training, integration of contextual factors in wellness, community and client empowerment and community and client advocacy in field of counseling.
