About Me

Being raised in rural Oklahoma exposed me early on to the importance of agriculture, 4-H youth development, healthy living, community engagement, family and research-based information needed to make informed decisions. As county director, I work regularly with local and county government officials, civic leaders and community organizations; plan activities according to expressed community and county needs; and facilitate OSU Extension programs at the local level. As an FCS educator, I am involved in numerous and varied programs that tackle everyday concerns and issues that can have a significant effect on a person’s quality of life.

I began my career as an Extension Educator for Family Consumer Sciences and 4-H in Kiowa County in 2000, expanding to cover both Greer and Kiowa counties in 2003 and 2004. In 2016, I began serving as the FCS/4-H Extension educator for Tillman and Kiowa counties, continuing to do so until I accepted my current responsibilities with Kay County in 2017.

I am an alumna of Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences and my master’s degree in early childhood education in 1995 and 2000, respectively.
