Megan Anderson
Megan Anderson has been with OSU Extension as an educator for 8 years and as a 4-Her and a child of an OHCE member for 25 years.  Here first memories of extension were attending monthly OHCE events with her mom.   She later went on to join 4-H at 9 and continued throughout her senior year in high school. OHCE and 4-H led her to discover her love of sewing and later pursue a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. When an opening in Seminole County Extension opened up, around the same time she graduated, she was exited to get to work in the same town as her family.
Megan provides various program for the community on nutrition, family, and finances for adults and youth.  In addition to these programs, she also coordinates 4-H events throughout the year.  She is most proud of her summer programs with the 4-Hers.  This year’s theme was 4-H grows here where 4-Hers learned about planting all the way to preparing and cooking what they have grown.

Megan also partners with DHS to help provide parenting education and partners with the local judges to teach Co-Parenting for those going through divorce with children. She feels that these classes have had the biggest impact in the community to help families reunite and focus on the needs of the family.

Megan is very proud to be helping with the promotion of OHCE this year with a fun spin on educational make and takes that are helping to bring in more people from the community and get them involved with OHCE and Extension. Some fun topics that they have done so far are barn quilts, canvas painting, image transfer to wood, and fairy gardens.Their biggest class had 53 participants. She looks forward to seeing what the future will bring!
