Undergraduate Program Requirements
The bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management/Recreational Therapy is designed for the student to select one of two options.
The option in Recreational Therapy is designed for the student interested in a career in healthcare. The Recreational Therapy option prepares the student as a Recreational Therapist to provide treatment for individuals in a variety of healthcare environments to include psychiatric treatment facilities, physical rehabilitation treatment facilities, acute care hospitals, adult day facilities, long-term care facilities, public schools, and private practice.
- The option in Recreation Management is designed for the student interested in a career in management and programing. The Recreation Management option prepares the student as a manager/programmer who operates corporate recreation facilities, corporate intramural programs, university recreation facilities, university intramural programs, sport programs, wellness facilities, parks and recreation, camps, outdoor recreation facilities, and resource/facility management of recreation/intramural/sport/parks facilities.
