R is for Thursday Annual Conversation
Thursday, Feb. 21 at 1:00 p.m. in 010 Willard Hall
The higher education and student affairs program is partnering with the R is for Thursday (R4T) Annual Conversation to host a complimentary agenda following the Kamm Lecture. Both events are hosted as part of our land grant mission and financially supported by the Robert B. Kamm Distinguished Lecture and the R4T Fund. There is no cost to attend. This year’s conversation will focus on the application of the trauma informed lens at college campuses and will include a panel of current foster alumni students and graduates from Oklahoma campuses.
The first Robert B. Kamm Distinguished Lecture in Higher Education was held in 1992, with the purpose of bringing private and public sector leaders together to discuss issues shaping the future of education, particularly higher education, in Oklahoma. Robert B. Kamm served in higher education as a teacher, counselor and administrator at OSU for more than 45 years, including service as president from 1966 to 1977. He was inducted in to the College of Education Hall of Fame in 2000 and served on the College of Education faculty. During his lengthy career, Dr. Kamm emphasized academic excellence and underscored the centrality of students, faculty and staff in the learning experience.
