Improving the human condition

We carry out OSU’s land-grant mission and support people across the lifespan through research by creating new knowledge in the areas of health promotion, disease prevention, education, design and aviation. Our specific expertise includes children, parents and families, schools and teachers, nutrition, flight safety, fire-protective clothing and more.

Online research portal

The Office of Research and Graduate Studies routinely solicits proposals for competitive internal funding opportunities to support faculty-led research programs. In addition to funding opportunities, the college also coordinates nominations for college and some university-level awards. Applications are submitted via CEHS's InfoReady online portal.

Student research opportunities

Students gain research experience working alongside faculty and are empowered to conduct their own, independent research projects with a mentor. Undergraduate students participate in OSU’s Freshman Research Scholars program and may apply for Wentz Research Grants. Graduate students attend and present at national conferences, participate in research competitions and earn financial awards to support their work.
