Application process

We offer scholarships for undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Education and Human Sciences. Incoming freshmen and transfer students are automatically considered for scholarships when they apply for admission to OSU, if they complete the leadership and involvement portion of the application and respond to the essay questions. Continuing undergraduate students will complete a single scholarship application to be considered for all College of Education and Human Sciences scholarships.

Important dates

  • November 1, 2024 – College scholarship application available (for current students)
  • November 1, 2024 - OSU early opportunity scholarship deadline (incoming freshmen and transfers)
  • January 2, 2025 – College scholarship submission deadline (for current students)
  • February 1, 2025 – OSU priority scholarship deadline (incoming freshmen and fall transfer students)

Criteria and eligibility

Criteria

Criteria for scholarship awards vary, but the following factors may be taken into consideration:

 

  • Scholastic record (GPA)
  • Field of study
  • Academic classification
  • College and university leadership activities
  • Professional goals
  • Financial need

Eligibility

To be eligible to receive a scholarship, undergraduate students must:

 

  • Be currently enrolled and majoring in a College of Education and Human Sciences undergraduate degree program
  • Be classified as a full-time student (enrolled in 12 hours or more; seniors enrolled in 9 hours or more in their graduating semester are considered full time) during the period of the scholarship award
