Jati Ariati

Position at OSU: Graduate Teaching Associate – EPSY 1003 Learning to Learn, Graduate Research Associate

Current Status/Year in the Program: 2nd year of doctoral student

Research interests: I am intrigued by emotional issues during the learning process, especially those influenced by cultural background. When it comes to learning, the process involves not only the student, but the teacher and the student's parents. Thus, I want to investigate the contributions of all parties on a student's emotions and how they can work together to create a positive ambiance in the learning environment, both in class and at home. When conducting these studies, I prefer to use a mixed method approach in collecting data.

Others interest: I want to explore US land with my family during my doctoral years.
