Serving those who serve

First responders and military personnel have some of the most physically demanding occupations in society. We are committed to providing effective interventions to protect and serve those who serve us. Our primary focus is providing useful, practical, actionable and evidence-based information to the tactical athlete, their departments and agencies to impact their overall health, wellness and occupational performance.

What we do

We aim to conduct research that helps improve the health, fitness, occupational performance and quality of life for tactical athletes and their families.

We provide numerous opportunities for OSU students to get involved through service-learning classes, undergraduate and graduate research assistantships, real-world class assignments that we share with the public and internship rotations creating social media content.

Service and Outreach

Our ultimate goal is connecting what we do with those we serve. We do so through social media, podcasts, symposiums and more.

Hear from Dr. Dawes, Dr. Joyce and special guests such as Coach John Hofman, as they discuss overall health, fitness and quality of life.
