Mary K. Chapman Nursing Simulation Laboratory
Leading edge lab
mirroring real-world clinical environments
The Mary K. Chapman Nursing Simulation Laboratory is a high-fidelity, hands-on training
space that prepares students to meet dynamic health care needs. The lab features state-of-the-art
medical equipment, including simulation manikins and practice exam rooms for Labor,
Pediatrics and the ICU. Faculty and staff can monitor the progress of simulated scenarios
and adjust patient vitals in real time. Students build confidence, sharpen clinical
judgment and respond to complex health care scenarios before they step into a hospital
or clinic.
Investing in OSU nursing
and the future of health care
Dedicated in April 2025, the Mary K. Chapman Nursing Simulation Laboratory is supported by a $1.5 million
gift from the H.A. and Mary K. Chapman Foundation. The lab also received significant
early investments from Pedigo Products, Inc. and the Masonic Charity Foundation of
Oklahoma. Located in the Scott Parker Wentz triplex, the two-story space houses several classrooms, conference rooms, faculty offices and dedicated area for
virtual reality.
