Psychological Foundations of Childhood
This study abroad program provides an in-depth understanding of key theories and research in child development, covering biological and physical processes, cognitive development, and psychosocial development. Students will examine the impact of cultural and social factors—such as ethnicity, language background, gender, and socioeconomic status—on development. The program also emphasizes developing research skills to critically evaluate developmental literature, essential for professional practice. Students will have the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to address practical developmental issues, current challenges, and innovations within educational contexts.
