Student Design Charrette

Prior to Convergence, we hosted a three-day workshop with five student teams in spring 2018. Students developed and presented their plans, including designs focusedStudents at Convergence on the mission of the Dementia-Friendly City Center, an environment designed to promote a comfortable and productive model for everyday life for those living with dementia and their families. The center can be used to encourage a focus on wellness over illness and promote an environment that allows individuals the ability to construct their own everyday narrative. To help achieve this, students focused on creating a design that incorporated four design tenants: sustainability, a therapeutic environment, universal design and way finding.
