The Center of Research on STEM Teaching and Learning hosts camps for kids K-12 that build a variety of fun, hands-on projects, and learning.
Camps
Kids Coding Camp
Kids Coding Camp will be an opportunity for children to learn about and engage in coding, including learning a coding language as well as working with robots. Campers will be engaged in small group activities that foster team building and problem solving.
Dates: Monday, June 5th – Friday, June 9th
Times: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Location: Willard Lobby for drop off
Eligibility: Grades 3rd – 5th
Facilitator: Rebecca Palmatary
Other: Snacks will be provided each day. In addition, participants will receive a t-shirt.

Cowboy Leadership & Education Camp
Cowboy Leadership & Education Camp will provide a place of support and networking, including opportunities to grow as future leaders in education. The camp is designed to offer students a variety of experiences and group activities that will teach them how to motivate others’ learning, strengthen their voice, increase their presentation skills, and build problem-solving skills to inspire and lead others.
Some activities include designing activities to do with children ages 4-6 at the OSU Child Development Laboratory, writing lesson plans, learning about curriculum and instruction, and reflecting on the effectiveness of teaching and how teachers can make adjustments to engage students and promote learning.
Dates: Monday, July 24th – Thursday, July 27th
Times: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Eligibility: Grades 8 – 12 (ages 12 – 18)

Cost: $100
