Projects
Protective Textile
Our team assesses the protective performance of various textile products. We have a demonstrated history of working in the field of thermal and fire protective textile materials. Using cutting-edge technology and lab equipment, and few inhouse developed testing systems our research aims to provide a thorough understanding of various occupational hazards (including cancer) and ensure that the fabric used provides optimal protection against those occupational hazards during their line of work.
Our team have received funding from various sources for our work on protective textile. Our aim is to enhance human lives through research and innovation of textile protection.
Textile Comfort
We conduct extensive research to acquire a better understanding of comfort properties for various fabrics. Our state-of-the-art equipment provides an objective assessment of comfort. Our work focuses on thermal comfort, moisture management, and other related issues that aid in the development of new concepts or designs in the textile and apparel industries.
Cleaning of textiles
Our extensive work extends to the cleaning of textile materials. Our work includes the use of advanced technology, such as ozone, as well as the establishment of proper washing protocols for the cleaning and decontamination of various textiles.
Modelling
Our research involves the use of various statistical and neural networks based on an empirical model to predict the protective and comfort performance of textiles and apparel. Furthermore, our theoretical models include the theory of heat and mass transfer under various conditions of heat, hazards, biological hazards, as well as human metabolic heat and sweat vapor, which are used to scientifically understand the protective and comfort performance of textile materials and clothing.
Recycling
Our team is currently in the process of developing a textile recycling facility to recycle various textile materials.
