Instilling hope and healing

Our lab focuses on research related to mental health issues, specifically trauma, trauma recovery and posttraumatic growth. This includes studying sociocultural factors that affect the facilitation or debilitation of trauma recovery and growth. We also engage in research related to counselor education and supervision. We believe in the wellness model and a holistic approach to both trauma-related and counselor education related research.

Providing resources for advocacy and change

within the community
Through research, we aim to provide resources for the community to help inform advocacy and policy changes and provide training and education related to trauma, trauma recovery and growth. Our goal is to connect with schools, organizations and institutions that seek knowledge, experience and professional development related to trauma-informed and trauma-sensitive models.
