Developed in collaboration with fashion and apparel industry professionals, the 3D Design: Digital Product Creation Certificate at Oklahoma State University will help you develop the competitive skills you need to thrive in the ever-evolving apparel industry. Whether you're looking to break in to 3D digital product creation or to elevate from your current industry role, we'll equip you with the problem-solving skills and valuable real-world knowledge to help you reach your goal. 

Learn how to:
  • Create garments and evaluate fit in 3D
  • Import and adjust parametric avatars
  • Create new designs based on block elements
  • Understand pattern shape function, material assets and physical properties
  • Render and animate

Build the Skills Fashion Brands Want

Flexible. Convenient. Affordable. Designed for busy, working professionals, the four-course certificate program is fully available online. You can start on your timeline and complete courses at your pace.

Cost: the $2,900 package price covers all four courses to complete one certificate. Individual courses are $800 each.  An academic credit option is also available. 

Choose Your SpecializationAll students will take Digital Product Creation, Digital Product Creation II and Advanced Digital Product Creation before choosing a specialization for the final capstone course.

3D Apparel Designer

Highlights

3D Apparel Technical Designer

Highlights

  • Learn pattern making, block development and grading
  • Understand digital pipelines and how they relate to the product development cycle
  • Gain digital asset management (DAM) software experience including digital file management and attribution

3D Apparel Artist

Highlights

  • Produce photo realistic 3D images or animations of apparel
  • Understand lighting principles and digital color processes
  • Learn applications of material textures and physics, trim, artwork and embellishment

Diane Limbaugh brings extensive industry and academic experience to her role as instructor for the 3D Digital Product Creation Certificate. Her resume includes 25 years teaching technical design and 15 years working in 3D design and experience as an owner and product developer for her own fashion brand.
