Certification Process
Certain criteria must be met before the Office of Educator Support can recommend a candidate for certification.
- You must be fully admitted into Professional Education:

- Complete and pass OSAT(s) & PPAT
- Maintain a minimum 2.50 or 2.75 GPA based on your program
- Submit and pass Professional Portfolio
- Complete Federal Background check (Use Teacher Certification service code)
- Pass the Legal Issues Quiz and Trauma Informed Quiz with 100%
- Complete the Application for Oklahoma School Certificate

- Complete the top of the form, Part I, Part IV (if applicable), Part V, and Signature
- Include your CWID and submit the application to Casey Powell via a secure document portal (Click here for directions on uploading to secure portal.)
- Make sure you have NO Holds on transcripts
- After your degree is posted, order an e-transcript and have it sent directly to pcasey@okstate.edu.
- You will receive an email once the recommendation is completed and give your next steps for payment and ordering your certificate.
