Improving performance and quality of life

The Human Performance Lab focuses on applied research aimed at improving overall health, fitness and performance across the lifespan.

Undergraduate students in the applied exercise science program and graduate students in the master's and the doctoral programs work alongside faculty to conduct diverse research projects, gaining valuable hands-on experience.

Equipment and Technology

We are well equipped for data collection and performance assessments both in the laboratory setting and out in the field. Assessment capabilities include body composition, cardiovascular fitness, balance and muscle function (power, strength and fatigue).
