Opportunity Orange Scholars
Expanding the Cowboy family
Opportunity Orange Scholars is a comprehensive transition program for young adults
between the ages of 18 and 26 with intellectual disability. Students admitted into
the Opportunity Orange Scholars program can pursue a two-year, non-degree academic
certificate in Career and Community Studies. Students will be fully immersed in the
OSU experience, as they live and learn on campus. Opportunity Orange Scholars is designated
by the U.S. Department of Education as a comprehensive transition and postsecondary
education program.

by building on our land-grant mission and commitment to inclusion
Opportunity Orange Scholars enriches the OSU community and enhance the lives of students
with intellectual disability by promoting lifelong learning and advancing knowledge
and skills necessary for competitive employment and interdependent living. The program
provides a college path for students who currently have no option of attending college
in Oklahoma due to a lack of programs available to meet their support needs.
