Dietetic Internship Program Goals

The goals for our program reflect our mission.


Goal #1

Graduates of the Dietetic Internship will demonstrate professional competence.

 

Objective 1.1

The program's one year-pass rate on the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credentaling exam for the dietitian nutritionist is at least 80 percent.

 

Objective 1.2

At least 80 percent of the program interns complete the program and degree requirements within 41 months (150 percent of the time planned for the program completion).

 

Objective 1.3

90 percent of program graduates take the CDR credentialing exam for dietitian nutritionists within 12 months of program completion.

 

Objective 1.4

90 percent of program graduates will receive a rating of at least 3 (on a scale of 1-4) on all research competencies (4 total).

 

Objective 1.5

80 percent of first employers, who respond to our survey, will rate the DI graduates as satisfactory or better.

 

Goal #2

Graduates of the Dietetic Internship program will demonstrate a commitment to professional engagement.

 

Objective 2.1

Of the graduates who seek employment, 75 percent are employed in nutrition and dietetics or related fields within 12 months of graduation.

 

Objective 2.2

At least 50 percent of responding program graduates, serving as an RDN will report that they serve as a preceptor for an ACEND-accredited supervised practice program by two years post-graduation.
