Orientation and Enrollment

As a new student, participate in programming that introduces you to campus resources and processes and welcomes you into the college. Meet with your academic advisor and enroll in classes.

Cowboy Welcome

Start building your community on campus and in Stillwater before the fall semester begins. Meet new friends, find your classes, experience Cowboy traditions and make important connections for a great first year and beyond.


CEHS P.L.A.C.E.

Specifically for students in the College of Education and Human Sciences, this  program provides unique experiences during your first year as you find your P.L.A.C.E. with other students in the same or similar majors and peer mentors.

Emerging Leaders Initiatives

Enhance your leadership potential with service-focused experiences and reflective learning. Collaborate with peers and cultivate your communication, problem-solving and project management skills.

Learning Lounge

Learning happens best in a supportive environment. This weekly study lounge provides a place where you can get help with your classes and avoid distractions.


Learning for Life

Learning for Life programs recognizing that our students are lifelong learners and will benefit from topics that go beyond the classroom.

Diversity Cord Project

Expand your intercultural competence and earn a diversity honor cord to wear at graduation. This initiative is designed to help you better understand and appreciate our diverse differences.

Ambassador Peer Mentoring Program

Network of support
This select group of student leaders mentor first-year students to answer questions, encourage involvement, promote good academic habits, provide advice and offer you the perspective of students who have already successfully navigated their first year of college.
