All trips require pre-registration. Guests 16 years old and up are welcome when accompanied by an OLLI member. Additional details will be in confirmation emails from the OLLI office. No-shows will be charged the full trip fee.

TT25-521 Visit a Multicultural Gem: Shawnee Daytrip
Friday, March 28, approx. 10a-4p
Join in as we check out Shawnee, the birthplace of celebrity Brad Pitt and home to more than 30 painted pony statues. Our stops include Citizen Potawatomi Nation’s Cultural Heritage Center’s newly renovated galleries that feature tribal history from pre-contact to present day, including the Potawatomi gift shop with authentic, locally made Native American gifts. We’ll visit the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art, Oklahoma’s oldest art museum. Founded in 1919, it is home to one of the nation’s largest collections of Egyptian art and artifacts. We’ll stop by the Pottawatomie County Museum with its eclectic collection of local artifacts. Another stop is the Eagle Aviary run by the Potawatomi Nation and the first of its kind to incorporate culturally significant elements into the rescue facility’s design. Lunch will be at the family owned Paul’s Place Steakhouse, where the locals eat, so you know it’ll be good.
$50 for members, $60 for nonmember guests (8 a.m. approximate departure time from Stillwater)
Price includes admission fees, lunch and snacks and rideshare. Alcohol not included. Wheelchair accessible

Alaska’s Northern Lights
March 24-30, 2025
7 days, 11 meals
Travel from Anchorage, a city on the edge of the snow capped Chugach Mountains and 60 sparkling glaciers, to Fairbanks, one of the best places in Alaska to see the Northern Lights. Lodging is in Anchorage (2 nights) and Fairbanks (3 nights) with one night at the iconic Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge, perched on a ridge offering unforgettable views of Denali and the Alaskan Range
Highlights include a daytime glacier cruise of Prince William Sound, narrated by an expert guide, where blue skies collide with stark white glaciers and playful otters dip in and out of the calm water. A daylong journey on the Aurora Winter Train through snow-covered mountains and striking valleys, with dinner included in the dining car. A visit to a musher’s home and kennel, where you can try your hand at dog mushing on a sled with an expert guide and dinner at the kennel owner’s home to learn more about the life of a musher.
Other stops include the Musk Ox Farm; Antique Auto Museum, where vintage cars sit between timely artifacts and fashionable designer dresses; and the Museum of the North, the University of Alaska’s collection featuring 2.2 million years of biodiversity and thousands of years of human history. -

Rolling landscapes, savory wines, delicious food and stunning architecture. Unpack once on this journey among Italy’s most charming towns and stay in the heart of Tuscany in the famous spa resort town of Montecatini Terme, known for its healing waters since before the time of the Romans.Highlights include Lucca, filled with Renaissance walls, Romanesque churches and medieval streets flanked by towers. The Devil’s Bridge in Borgo a Mozzano and the remains of the Gothic Line—the German’s last defense during WWII. Florence, the beautiful Cradle of the Renaissance, with a local guide strolling medieval streets flanked by Renaissance walls, Romanesque churches and towers, where works by Michelangelo and Donatello lounge. Historic sites in the ancient maritime Republic of Pisa, including that famous leaning tower and the Field of Miracles. The hilltop village of San Gimignano, an enchanting medieval town famous for its 14 towers and views overlooking vineyards.
The food highlights include visiting the quaint countryside to learn the secrets of this area’s traditional cuisine. A cooking class, using local ingredients and culinary techniques that have been passed down for generations. A cheese farm to learn how the famous pecorino cheese is made before sampling it. European Christmas Markets

A grand holiday adventure through the winter wonderland of the Imperial Cities of Central Europe—Prague, Vienna and Budapest. Along the way, immerse yourself in festive Christmas markets, enjoy traditional entertainment, sample local cuisine, and glimpse this region’s rich history.
Highlights include the famous Christmas market in Prague’s Old Town Square, where wooden huts are filled with the work of local artisans, and traditional food and drink are prepared right in front of you. The world’s oldest Christmas market in Dresden, Germany—the Striezelmarkt—which has been delighting travelers and locals alike since 1434, where stalls overflow with ornaments and treats. A candy workshop in Vienna where sweets are still being made according to traditional recipes dating back over 150 years. The Christkindlmarkt at Vienna’s neo-gothic Rathaus City Hall, the biggest and most famous market in the city.
Train ride to Bratislava, Slovakia, the former Imperial capital of the Habsburg Empire and city with a 4,000-year history and charming Christmas markets. Learn to make traditional strudel before enjoying a typical Hungarian dinner at a rustic local restaurant preserving 200 years of cultural and architectural traditions. Christmas markets in Budapest—the cozy market at St. Stephen’s Basilica or the city’s largest at Vörösmarty Square brimming with food and crafts stalls where local musicians often perform.
